Responsibilities: • Provide skilled nursing care to rehabilitation and long-term care patients • Manage and coordinate patient assignments, handling 6-8 patients per shift • Perform duties as Charge Nurse when required, leading and supporting fellow nursing staff • Monitor patient condition and respond swiftly to changes in health status • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient outcomes • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility protocols • Flexibly cover day (6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.) and night (6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.) shifts as scheduled Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN licensure with a focus on Rehabilitation/LTC nursing • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Med-Surg or rehabilitation settings • Previous experience in a Charge Nurse role preferred • Valid BLS certification • Ability to manage a patient load of 6-8 assignments effectively • Must have a permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility • Willingness to work flexible shifts covering both days and nights Additional Information: • Contract position with flexible 36-hour workweeks • Start date is immediate, offering opportunities to expand clinical expertise • Supportive environment focused on patient-centered care This is a contract role requiring adaptability and commitment to providing high-quality nursing care.
