Rehabilitation Registered Nurse in Kamuela, HI in Waimea, HI

Provide skilled nursing care within a long-term care setting located on the premises of a hospital in Kamuela, HI. This contract opportunity requires thorough clinical expertise in assessments, treatments, medication administration, and diverse patient care interventions for rehabilitation and long-term care populations. Key Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement appropriate treatments • Administer medications safely and document accurately • Communicate effectively with physicians and nurse practitioners regarding patient status • Manage admissions and discharges, including completion of necessary documentation • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) • Deliver specialized care such as gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, and CPAP management • Adhere to all facility protocols and safety guidelines • Work varied 8-hour shifts including days (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM), evenings (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), and nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), inclusive of weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotations Qualifications: • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Hawaii state endorsement or ability to obtain licensure prior to assignment start • Experience in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing preferred • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Flexibility to work a varied shift schedule including weekends and holidays Location Insight: Kamuela, set on the Big Island of Hawaii, offers a unique blend of rural charm and scenic beauty.
