
Rehabilitation Registered Nurse in Kapaau, HI in Kapaau, HI
Job Description
Provide skilled nursing care in a long-term care setting located within a hospital campus, delivering comprehensive rehabilitation and daily living support to residents. This role requires adherence to clinical protocols, effective communication with medical providers, and careful management of patient needs to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and administer prescribed treatments.
• Manage medication administration accurately and timely.
• Communicate relevant patient information to physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Handle admission and discharge processes efficiently.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube, urinary catheter, nebulizer, wound vac, and CPAP treatments.
• Flexibly work varied 8-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights with potential weekend, holiday, and overtime rotation as scheduled.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Valid Registered Nurse license with qualification for Hawaii state licensure.
• Experience in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork.
Schedule/Hours:
• 8-hour shifts varied by day: 0730-1530, 1500-2330, 2300-0730.
• Includes weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotations.
• Candidates must be available to arrive early prior to assignment start for employee health orientation.
