An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in rehabilitation and long-term care, supporting patients in a dynamic post-acute setting. This contract position is based in the Newton, KS area, with the chance to work closely alongside an interdisciplinary team in a facility focused on patient-centered rehabilitation. Responsibilities include assisting with rehabilitation care plans developed collaboratively by the healthcare team, performing head-to-toe assessments, administering IV medications and blood transfusions as needed, and conducting lab draws. Nurses will use advanced equipment such as patient lifts, iSTAT devices, glucometers, and provide inhaler and breathing treatments. Documentation is completed using the Meditech Magic EMR system. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active RN license with experience in rehabilitation and long-term care nursing • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred within 90 days • IV certification (required for LPN candidates) • Telemetry monitoring knowledge is a plus • CRRN certification and understanding of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute care highly preferred • Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to patient advocacy and education Location: Newton, KS, offers a welcoming community atmosphere with access to quality healthcare resources and amenities in the surrounding Wichita metro area.
