A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care. This contract role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care facility located within a hospital setting. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current and active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii (must be obtained prior to assignment start if not already held)
• Experience in long-term care nursing, including patient assessments and medication administration
• Skilled in gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter management, nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, CPAP care, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status
• Flexibility to work varied 8-hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to participate in overtime rotations as required

This role is based in Kapaau, Hawaii, offering the unique experience of providing care on the beautiful Big Island. Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and administer treatments according to protocols
• Manage medication administration and document pertinent clinical information
• Coordinate patient admits and discharges with efficiency and compassion
• Provide assistance with ADLs and specialized care such as gastrostomy and catheter care
• Communicate critical updates to physicians and nurse practitioners promptly
• Support wound vac, nebulizer, and CPAP care as part of nursing duties
Schedule:
• 8-hour shifts varying between days (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM), evenings (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM), and nights (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Includes weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotations
• No guaranteed shifts or preferences; flexibility required
Additional Information:
Travelers must arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Prompt arrival is mandatory to ensure a timely start. Those without a current Hawaii nursing license must apply immediately upon acceptance to secure licensure before beginning.
