Deliver nursing care in a skilled long-term care (LTC) and rehabilitation setting, focusing on comprehensive patient assessments, treatments, and medication administration. This contract position requires an active Hawaii nursing license by the assignment start date and offers varied 8-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights with weekend and holiday coverage.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii (must be active by assignment start)
• Experience in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care nursing preferred
• Skilled in patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and use of medical devices such as gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, nebulizers, CPAP machines, and wound VACs
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians and nurse practitioners regarding patient status
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct thorough assessments and provide treatments aligned with patient care plans
• Administer medications safely and document accordingly
• Perform ADL assistance, gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound VAC management, and CPAP support
• Notify medical staff of pertinent patient changes or concerns
• Manage patient admissions and discharges within the LTC facility located on hospital grounds
• Attend mandatory employee health appointment prior to assignment start
Schedule/Hours:
• 8-hour shifts available: Days (7:30 AM–3:30 PM), Evenings (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), Nights (11:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Includes weekends, holidays, and potential overtime rotation
• Shift preferences cannot be guaranteed
