As part of the role, the nurse may be the second RN in the special care nursery. The nurse will utilize EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanners, Medula Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call light system, and Medfusion Pumps. The unit has an average census of 5 couplets, 2 pediatric patients, 1 gynecological patient, 2 labor patients, and 4 special care nursery patients. Support staff includes a ward clerk, CNA, charge nurse/circulator, resource nurse, and LPN scrub nurse. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, 1:5 for gynecological/med-surg patients, and 1:3-4 for pediatrics. All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color is navy blue. Previous employment with the client must have an end date of 6 months prior to any new submission.
