Geriatric Psychiatric Registered Nurse Location Mission, NC Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Geriatric Psychiatric Unit. The unit consists of 9 beds, and the RN will work alongside a team of skilled staff in providing quality care to geriatric patients. Responsibilities • Monitor and assess patient vital signs and mental health status. • Assist with bladder scans, blood draws, and other medical procedures as needed. • Effectively manage rapid responses and code blue situations. • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality care and de-escalate situations as necessary. • Maintain accurate patient records using EMR (Cerner). Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). • Experience in behavioral health, particularly with geriatric patients. • Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and team collaboration.
