Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse Job Description The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation, planning, and provision of care for patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing nursing care during cardiovascular radiographic procedures, with minimal supervision, under the direction of the Cardiologist and in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role involves supporting the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Team in performing high-level invasive procedures. Responsibilities • Provide nursing care during cardiovascular radiographic procedures. • Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care. • Support the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Team in high-level invasive procedures. • Maintain compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Must have a valid RN or multi-state compact license. • ACLS & BLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association). • Minimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience.
