Job Description
The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) is a 30-bed unit providing medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to medium to high acuity patients. Patients require a higher level of nursing care due to their complexity and co-morbidities, including cardiac diagnoses and conditions such as Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI), congestive heart failure (CHF), and arrhythmias.
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to CVU patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for patient care.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current California RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience.
• EPIC charting experience preferred.
