Registered Nurse – Hoonah, AK Location Hoonah, AK Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with call required. Job Description The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, including after-hours urgent/emergent clinic duties. The role involves utilizing the nursing process, initiating nursing actions, and providing comprehensive nursing care to meet patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and socio-cultural needs. The nurse is expected to work independently, coordinate patient care, and make daily decisions affecting patient access to care. Responsibilities • Develop a plan of care in conjunction with the primary care provider based on assessment data. • Observe, assess, recognize, and interpret patient conditions. • Document nursing interventions, health teaching, therapeutic measures, and coordination with other professionals. • Administer therapeutic measures as ordered by a physician within scope of practice. • Perform triage of patients requesting non-routine clinic appointments. • Maintain a safe and aseptic environment; carry out sterile techniques. • Operate specialized medical equipment and demonstrate computer-based health information system usage. • Provide respiratory therapy functions and assist with case management when necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Active Alaska RN license at the time of submission. • Flu vaccination required. • X-Ray experience preferred but not mandatory. Why ARMStaffing?
