Clinical Informatics Specialist – Registered Nurse (Exempt)
The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading healthcare organization to hire a Clinical Informatics Specialist (RN) to support the optimization of clinical systems and workflows. This role bridges clinical expertise and health IT, focusing on workflow analysis, system configuration, process improvement, and end-user support to enhance patient care, safety, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and software/application development groups
• Analyze and optimize clinical workflows and HIT systems
• Troubleshoot and support clinical applications, including EHR (Epic preferred)
• Lead or support system implementation, education, and adoption initiatives
• Participate in governance committees and performance improvement projects
• Provide guidance and mentorship to end-users and new team members
Qualifications:
• Licensed RN in Montana without restrictions affecting practice
• ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Minimum 4 years of direct healthcare experience
• Experience in clinical informatics, workflow analysis, or EHR optimization (Epic experience preferred)
• Strong computer, teaching, and project management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Skills & Aptitudes:
• Knowledge of clinical workflows in integrated healthcare settings
• Ability to adopt new technologies and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
• Sound judgment in complex clinical and technical situations
• Ability to support high-pressure environments calmly and professionally
