Location - Cleveland, OH
Contract Length - 13 weeks
Shift - 72 hours bi-weekly, Day / Night, both shift options available: 6:45 am-7:15 pm, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care within the correctional healthcare setting at Cuyahoga County Jail. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, delivering and documenting nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and well-being of a diverse inmate/patient population ranging from 1,300–2,000 individuals.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, document, and evaluate nursing care based on individual patient needs and provider orders
• Follow approved nursing standards, clinical procedures, and administrative policies
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and respond to medical emergencies as required
• Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and correctional officers to ensure a safe and effective care environment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems
• Uphold safety, infection control, and compliance standards at all times

Mandatory Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only

Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in any healthcare setting
• Experience in correctional health, emergency, med-surg, or behavioral health is a plus

Required Licenses/Certifications
• Active Ohio RN License (Ohio only)
• BLS – American Heart Association (AHA only)

Pay: $2,300.00 - $2,500.00 per week
