Day shift, 4×10 hours (07:00 – 17:30). Call required with a 30-minute response time.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) will assist in various open heart surgical procedures. Candidates must be experienced in the operating room environment and possess specific open heart experience.
Responsibilities
• Circulate and scrub during open heart surgeries.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Utilize advanced technologies such as ECMO, IABP, and LVAD.
• Experience with CABG, mitral, tricuspid and aortic valve replacement, aortic dissections, pericardial window, thoracotomies, and VATS is preferred.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, with a focus on open heart procedures.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with ECMO and LVAD, Impella is required.
• Ability to scrub preferred.
• Experience with robotic surgery in chest cases is preferred.
