Registered Nurse – Operating Room Location Los Alamos, NM Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 06:30-15:00, with weekend hours required every other week and as needed. On-call requirements are expected, approximately 10-11 days of call each month. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in the Operating Room to provide care in a high-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team to ensure patient safety and highest quality of care, serving a diverse patient population of all ages. Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in the operating room setting, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols. • Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes. • Monitor patients preoperatively and postoperatively to ensure safety and comfort. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems. • Participate in call rotation as required, providing emergency care as necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Current Registered Nurse licensure in New Mexico. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical or operating room setting. • Completed certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS. • Fingerprints and background check required prior to hire.
