An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Care to work on a contract basis in Crawfordsville, Indiana, supporting the Emergency Department. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a variety of patient conditions in a fast-paced environment. Location Overview: Crawfordsville offers a welcoming community atmosphere with easy access to urban amenities. The local healthcare facility’s Emergency Department is a 32-bed unit equipped with advanced medical technology, including a Level I fluid warmer, and uses the Epic electronic medical records system, supporting top-quality patient care. Responsibilities: • Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, addressing medical, traumatic, and mental health needs. • Manage patient loads with a standard ratio of 1:4 for high acuity patients and adjust care level for lower acuity cases. • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes. • Adhere to established protocols and facility dress code (navy scrubs). • Successfully complete assigned onboarding education modules prior to starting. Qualifications: • Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Emergency Nursing. • Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, and BLS; TNCC preferred. • Demonstrated skill in trauma care across the lifespan. • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
