A professional nursing position is available in the Emergency Department serving clients across all age groups. This contract role requires delivering timely nursing assessments and initiating appropriate interventions while managing urgent patient complaints. The nurse will perform comprehensive medical screenings and collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care consistent with department policies and professional standards. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough patient interviews and assessments to obtain accurate medical histories. • Complete medical screenings and initiate diagnostic and therapeutic measures based on protocols and medical orders. • Apply crisis intervention skills when managing emergency situations. • Serve as a communication liaison among patients, families, and physicians with confidentiality and professionalism. • Document patient progress clearly and legibly. • Perform nursing procedures safely and adhere to infection control policies. • Participate actively in quality assurance and ongoing professional development. • Work collaboratively within the nursing team and hospital environment. • Adapt effectively during periods of high stress and emergency scenarios. Qualifications: • Graduation from an accredited nursing program. • Active Registered Nurse license in Arizona. • Current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications. • At least one year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing. • Prior experience in critical care and/or emergency care preferred. • Solid understanding of nursing principles, medication preparation, and patient counseling. • Ability to operate complex medical equipment. • Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written. • Physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and responding to a dynamic work environment.
