Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care aligned with provider orders and established standards for patients with complex multisystem conditions.
• Perform thorough assessments, document accurate patient data, and develop patient-specific care plans.
• Administer medications and therapeutics appropriate for varying ages.
• Lead and supervise nursing assistants and techs, ensuring quality and delegation.
• Provide patient and family education to promote understanding, coping, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff development including mandatory certifications like ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ongoing competency training.
• Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state; Alaska license application required before start.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications to be completed within six months.
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; emergency department experience preferred.
• Proficiency with emergency procedures and medical equipment.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations.
