Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

3 Days – 12 Hour shifts, 7PM – 7AM
Job Description
The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting and demonstrates proficiency in managing both routine and complex patient care. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care, developing long-range goals, and effectively managing clinical contingencies.
Responsibilities
• Provides nursing care following the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with appropriate protocols; monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• RN License in the state of TX or compact.
