Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) functions primarily in direct patient care and demonstrates competent clinical practice. This position triages patients, obtains patient history and vital signs, and assesses patients. Acts independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations in the absence of a physician. Provides care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients.
Responsibilities
• Performs nursing assessments, intervenes appropriately and promptly, and participates in care planning.
• Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician’s authorized plan of care, adhering to accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Processes physician/provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, with proper follow-up on medication changes and order clarifications.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans, making suggestions or facilitating changes in order to improve patient care.
• Actively participates in updating/revising treatment plans in collaboration with team members, utilizing current information.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• 2+ Years of experience – Required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) – Required
• NRP – Required
• TNCC – Required
• Travel Experience – Highly Preferred
