Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PCU Float Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience to join our Float Pool Team. As a vital part of our clinical staff, you will support various adult inpatient units, providing critical care and addressing diverse medical needs.
Responsibilities
• Float to various units including Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, and Med-Surg.
• Provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses and manage advanced cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and therapies as per protocols, including IV therapy and blood product administration.
• Assist in performing and interpreting assessments, including ABGs and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
• Engage with interdisciplinary support services to coordinate optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a telemetry or IMC setting.
• Proven ability to manage telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Preferred experience with trauma level II and community hospitals.
