Day shift, Monday through Friday, with potential for alternating weekend shifts.
Job Description
The Skilled Home Care Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in their homes, focusing on those with various medical diagnoses, including cardiopulmonary issues and post-operative care. The role requires a combination of technical nursing skills and empathy to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care.
• Manage drainage systems, including Pleurx and Asept drains.
• Conduct Foley catheter changes and care, as well as staple/suture removal.
• Administer IV medications, including PICC line and Midline care.
• Utilize glucometers and pro-time machines for patient monitoring.
• Carry out skilled home visits, managing 6-8 patients per day.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of skilled home care nursing experience required.
• Must possess OASIS training and experience.
• Infusion and wound care experience essential.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
• Current BCLS certification.
• COVID-19 vaccinated or exemption documentation on file, along with flu shot compliance.
