Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital. Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive skilled nursing care to patients within the home setting • Participates in the development and implementation of patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team • Provides quality end-of-life cares and support to patient, family, and caregivers Requirements: • Flexible, multitasker, demonstrates effective communication and assessment skills • IA RN license • BLS required • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required Why Become a Home Care Nurse? • More career flexibility – create own schedule based on patient caseload for the day • Greater independence – key communicator between patient, family members, and primary care providers • Rewarding patient relationships – develop rapport with patients and their family members through case management Schedule: • 72 hours a pay period - 8 hour shifts • Typically one holiday of on-call only per year - self scheduled • Typically one weekend of on-call only every 6 weeks - self scheduled • The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department Spencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!
