Registered Nurse - Family Medicine Clinic Location Alaska Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days or nights available. Job Description The Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the delivery of patient care in the Family Medicine Clinic through the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves directing and coordinating nursing care based on practice standards and managing personnel on the unit. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is key to providing quality and efficient care, ensuring the best possible patient outcomes across all age groups. Responsibilities • Oversee and implement patient care protocols in accordance with nursing standards. • Collaborate with RN Charges and other healthcare professionals to enhance clinic processes. • Utilize the nursing process effectively in patient care delivery. • Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide education to patients and their families. • Act as a resource person for nursing staff and assist with staff management. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Must have completed a nursing program from an NLN-approved institution; BSN preferred. • A minimum of 4 years of charge experience in a clinic or urgent care facility. • Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. • Current BLS certification required.
