Job Description

The RN House Supervisor, a proficient nurse, collaborates with management and directors to oversee hospital operations at all times, guaranteeing compliance with health system policies and regulatory requirements. This critical role involves managing the delivery of top-notch patient care and frequently acting as a leader during off-peak hours and weekends, handling patient issues and promoting efficient hospital operations and appropriate staffing ratios. Essential Job Function • Works in conjunction with department leaders to coordinate nursing services, establishing staffing plans that meet the demands of patient volume and acuity; assesses staffing and available resources to maximize the efficiency of staff deployment according to their competency and tenure. • Collaborates with fellow healthcare professionals in deciding the appropriate patient placement. • Partners with department charge nurses, providers, and different departments to speed up the process of patient throughput. • Assists in triage and admission prioritization to support the smooth progression of patients as required. • Acts upon campus emergency communications, plays out designated functions, and aids in facilitating patient transitions if the situation demands. • Works jointly with colleagues, patients, and patient delegates to navigate ethical issues, fresh protocols, and interventions in the chain of command. • Offers guidance to hospital personnel, physicians, and third-party organizations on operational concerns. • Undertakes different assignments as needed. Education • Required: Bachelor of Science in NursingPreferred: Master s degree in nursing or similar field Experience • Required: 3 or more years as a Registered Nurse required. Preferred: Acute care setting. Previous leadership and/or critical care experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Listing • Required:RN- Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or Compact state.BLS ACLS (Not applicable for the Behavioral Health Service Line)Notary public certification in the State of North Carolina (must be completed within six months of hire)
