This position requires a 12-hour night shift. Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Job Description
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) will float to ICU and IMCU units as needed. Responsibilities include caring for a diverse range of critically ill patients, including those with cardiovascular issues, COPD, DKA, strokes, and sepsis.
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in various units.
• Float between ICU/IMCU as required, including SICU, MICU, and general surgery units.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is mandatory prior to start.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care required.
• Experience in large teaching facilities with exposure to post cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery.
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required.
• Travel experience is required.
