Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and up to 2 extra mandatory overtime shifts within a 6-week period. Flexibility is required as scheduling is based on unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a strong background in cardiac care. The nurse will provide care for patients with various cardiac conditions and will need to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg as required by patient census. Experience with Balloon Pump and Impella Pump is essential.

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients.
• Float to PCU and Med Surg as needed based on census.
• Monitor and support patients requiring Balloon Pump and Impella Pump assistance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in weekend coverage and mandatory overtime as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Active RN license.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Experience in cardiac care is essential; pediatric experience preferred but not required.
