Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. This position primarily focuses on providing nursing care to critically ill patients within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and may require floating to other areas such as Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatrics as needed.
Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient care and support in a 5 Bed Intensive Care Unit.
• Deliver nursing care to critically ill patients and their families.
• Perform after-hours recovery of post-operative patients as required.
• Work independently while adhering to doctors’ orders and nursing policies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• At least 3 years of prior ICU experience is required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. PALS must be completed within six months of hire.
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification both required to be completed within six months of hire.
