Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3×12 hour shifts.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while prioritizing patient safety and employee safety.
Responsibilities
• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments.
• Communicate patient information and status regularly during team conferences.
• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Ensure continuity of care by communicating changes in patient status to all relevant care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Participate in creating a positive unit environment and contribute to team dynamics.
• Assume charge responsibilities as required following orientation.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific to certain locations).
• A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
