Registered Nurse – ICU

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for our ICU unit. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience and will be expected to work in both the ICU and PCU. The nurse will provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including those on ventilators.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including continuous IV sedation and titration of drips.
• Maintain arterial and central lines, and manage PICC lines.
• Participate in chest tube management and respiratory support.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings in Epic.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and dysrhythmias.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required.
• Charge experience is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are required; CPI preferred.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2-3.
