Job Description

Critical care registered nurses provide care in settings where patients have experienced severe medical issues such as heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. They are vital in supporting the medical team and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
• Assessing patients’ conditions and planning/implementing care plans.
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support.
• Assisting physicians in procedures.
• Observing and recording vital signs.
• Ensuring proper functionality of medical equipment, including ventilators.
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications.
• Collaborating with the critical care team.
• Responding to life-saving situations according to nursing standards.
• Acting as patient advocate and providing education/support to families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Recent experience in LTACH, trach, and vent management.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Ohio RN or multi-state RN license.
