Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift, 3x12.0 Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, promoting a safe and effective environment for patient care. Responsibilities • Conduct a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to form an individualized plan of care. • Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis by collaborating with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team. • Provide accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses. • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure direct patient care using the nursing process. • Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and begin patient teaching in anticipation of discharge. • Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care. • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, ensuring effective delegation and prioritization. • Assume charge responsibility as requested and actively pursue professional development. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. • ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to some locations). • Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required. • Previous experience with Select Medical is highly desired.
