Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift 3×12.0
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with policy.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure quality patient care through the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Support a positive work environment and participate in team-building activities on the unit.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs, supplies, and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
Schedule
This position requires a night shift on a 3×12 hours schedule.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
