The Float Pool - Emergency Department Float Pool Nurse is a versatile and highly skilled healthcare professional responsible for delivering emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department of both Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

This role requires adaptability, expertise, and a strong commitment to providing the best care to patients in acute medical situations. As a member of the EDFloat Pool, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care during their most urgent moments. The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) is a versatile and highly skilled healthcare professional responsible for providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to adult patients in various units within the organization. The RN requires adaptability, expertise, and a strong commitment to delivering the best care to patients facing a variety of medical and surgical conditions. As a nurse in our float pool, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care during their hospital stay. With passionate and driven leadership behind them, our nurses can dedicate themselves to patient safety, clinical excellence, and life-long learning.

Who Should Apply:
• Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Applicants with an associate degree must enroll in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years.
• Licensure: Active Maryland or Compact RN license required.
• Certification: BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience: At least one year of RN experience in an ED

Salary Range: Minimum 38.49/hour - Maximum 52.69/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
