Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled RN to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the electronic medical records. Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern) Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions) Malpractice liability insurance Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department EPIC electronic charting system Type of Opportunity:Full time FTE:0.9 Job Exempt:No Work Shift:Days (United States of America) Responsibilities: • Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses. • Coordinates patients care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. • Performs assessments as per unit standards and documents on appropriate data base/assessment flow sheet. • Initiates, utilizes and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care • Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and documents according to policy. • Performs other functions as required. Qualifications: • Registered Nurse (RN) - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. • Associate degree in nursing • BLS Certification required at time of hire. • Prefer nursing experience/infusion We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
