Your Everyday Prioritize, coordinate, and manage outpatient treatment of cancer-related health issues. Administer individualized careplanfor chemotherapy and infusions whilemonitoringyour patient's vitals, medications, and symptoms. Provide emotional support. Maintain andadvocatea safe environment for everyone. Monitor and engage with your patients, families, andappropriate careteam members concerningsignificant events, patient condition changes, or patient questions and concerns. Monitor and execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements. Ensure continuity of care, efficiency, consistent communications, and an exceptional experience for every patient. Advise and consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely. Initiate patient and family education usingappropriate resourcesand continuum of care services. Contribute to the team byassistingothers without being asked. The Must-Haves Must obtain ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy Card within 3 months of hire. Must obtain Citi Training within 3 months of hire. Minimum: Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. 18 monthsoutpatient/inpatient oncology experience Preferred: BSN Oncology nurse certification WORK SHIFT: Days (United States of America) LCMC Health is a community.
