Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred. Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management. IMCU travelers are required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam, which includes reading/interpreting rhythm strips. Failure of the telemetry exam will result in contract termination.Unit Description:The IMCU is comprised of 18 beds and focuses on individuals who are experiencing severe, but usually non-life threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments, moderately intensive therapies and interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance. These patients encompass all types of general medical disease process, including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory. Our goal is the provision of clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.Additional Comments:Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. May be required to work major holidays and are required to pick up one additional shift during each schedule period (4-weeks). Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts. Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends and holidays.Holiday Requirements:Travelers must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Eve + Day = 1 Holiday.Hospital Information:Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level II Trauma Center, Stroke accreditation, 800 in-patient bed hospital. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
