The facility has 109 licensed beds without trauma designation. It is not a teaching hospital and does not host residents or students. The Emergency Department focuses on adult and pediatric patients with common diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, chest pain, myocardial infarction, stroke, and minor trauma. Patient ratios are generally 1:4-5, depending on patient acuity. Candidates will be required to float to different facilities as necessary, within their scope of practice. Floating may include mid-shift travel to other locations, with compensation for travel time. Support within the department includes CNAs and a charge nurse. The nursing staff works with a 24/7 hospitalist and a dedicated emergency physician team. Technology utilized includes Epic for electronic medical records, Alaris for IV pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing, along with Philips monitors and general medical-surgical equipment. The candidate must be comfortable with a range of ED-related tasks and responsibilities.
