Effectively interacts with patients and other health team members, while maintaining standards of the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants. Position Details • RN Lactation Specialist - Maternal Child Unit • Three weekends within a four-week schedule • 12-hour day shift, part-time, benefitted position Education/Experience • BSN Preferred. • RN’s without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months and complete degree within 4 years of their start date. • Minimum of one (1) year of maternal child health care and practice as breastfeeding consultant preferred. Licensure/Certification • Current Maryland RN license or licensure in a compact state that allows practice in Maryland. • CPR required. • Certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultants, (IBLC). Continuing education in breastfeeding to obtain and maintain certification status. Apply
