RN: L&D in Fort Defiance, AZ

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Location City, State Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-Hour Night shift. Must be flexible to work Day Shift, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Job Description We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. The ideal candidate will work in L&D, Postpartum rooms, support Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFHI), and help care for newborns with their mothers. This position averages 40 deliveries per month, including approximately 6 C-sections. Responsibilities • Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings. • May serve as charge nurse on occasion, post-training. • Ensure adherence to Baby-Friendly Initiative standards. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. • Assist in floating to other departments as needed, based on qualifications and competencies. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting. • American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM required (RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM).
