Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies. Key responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating nursing services, observing resident conditions, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per nursing techniques and facility policies.
• Assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
• Monitor and document residents’ conditions and reactions.
• Take vital signs including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Coordinate nursing services to meet resident needs.
• Consult with supervisors on nursing problems.
• Participate in orientation and training of nursing staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and comfort in resident rooms.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Report all complaints or unusual problems to the supervisor.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or Medical-Surgical settings required.
• Completion of at least one successful travel assignment as a Registered Nurse.
• Active Michigan RN license at the time of submission.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• COVID vaccination preferred (if declining, must wear a mask).
