We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for a RN Manager - Days position. The RN Manager - Days provides leadership for adolescent programming as well as nursing care to patients as assigned, utilizing the nursing process. Schedule: This is a Full time, 40 hour a week. Essential Job Responsibilities • Provides overall leadership for nursing staff for the shift. • Triages admissions and coordinates discharges and admissions with ARC Department. • Provides leadership in emergencies for the units. • Oversees staffing for current shift and next shift. • Utilizing the nursing process, the RN develops an initial nursing treatment plan for each admitted patient. • Competent in assessing, planning, and delivering care for patients with co-occurring disorders. • The nurse continually assesses and reassesses the patient’s medical and psychiatric status and changing needs. • Participates with other team members in planning and implementing the patient’s treatment plan. • Directs and participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu. • Assists with discharge planning and works with patient’s discharges. • Provides leadership to other personnel in crisis behavioral management. Determines the need for the use of seclusion and/or restraint with patients, assesses the patient’s physical and emotional status and determines the cessation of their use, when appropriate. • Provides medication administration, medication teaching activities, assessment of medication side effects and medication efficacy, and assists physicians in obtaining informed consent. • Maintains own professionalism and adheres to the determined standards of care and performance. • Accurately transcribes physician orders according to nursing policy and procedure. • Adheres to the Infection Control policies and procedures of the hospital and follows standard precautions at all times. • Assesses and reassesses patients pain and provides nursing care as needed. • Attend Monthly Clinical Staff meetings or read minutes and sign form of acknowledgement. • Maintains and stays current with nursing standards of care and nursing practices. • Demonstrates the ability to handle incoming crisis calls, make referrals and complete assessments as necessary. • Demonstrates ability to maintain therapeutic relationships, which do not allow self-disclosure of personal/social information to patients and adheres to the Professional Boundary Policy. • Performs other duties as assigned.
