Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a specialized Critical Illness and Rehabilitation setting, supporting patients through their recovery journey in Arlington, VA. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans based on these assessments.
• Identify patient and family teaching needs, setting realistic goals in collaboration with the care team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in medical records.
• Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program, delivering direct patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Initiate and lead discharge planning from admission, with comprehensive patient education.
• Ensure smooth communication regarding patient status changes among care providers to maintain care continuity and safety.
• Provide training, supervision, and guidance to ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Uphold personal and environmental safety standards in line with policies, promoting a safe workplace for all.
• Contribute positively to unit operations, including assuming charge responsibilities when required.
