RN Med Surg | Brunswick, Maine in Brunswick, ME

A contract Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Brunswick, ME, specializing in medical-surgical care with telemetry experience. This role involves working a 7pm to 7:30am shift, providing comprehensive nursing care on a med-surg and telemetry unit focusing on nephrology and urology patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care to a 38-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6
• Manage equipment including IVs, PCA pumps, epidurals, air mattresses, tube feeding, NG tubes, drains, and Foley catheters
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and communication
• Float to other units as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Work every other weekend within a guaranteed 36-hour workweek
• Collaborate effectively as a team player within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in med-surg and telemetry settings
• Current BLS certification
• Adaptability and flexibility to float as needed
• Ability to maintain professional appearance adhering to scrub color guidelines (any color permitted) while avoiding hoodies, open-toed shoes, or clothing with logos/graphics
