Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to set and achieve healthcare goals.
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate with a strong focus on patient and family education.
• Initiate discharge planning early and prepare patients and families for post-hospital care.
• Communicate patient status changes effectively to physicians, charge nurses, and team members to ensure continuity and safety.
• Supervise and mentor ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately and promoting teamwork.
• Uphold personal and environmental safety standards, prioritizing both patient and employee safety through adherence to protocols.
• Maintain accurate, concise, and timely documentation in compliance with policy.
• Support cost-effective care delivery while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in team-building and contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and assume additional responsibilities such as charge nurse duties as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Registered Nurse with Master's degree preferred.
• Competence in nursing assessments, care planning, and patient education.
• Strong communication, leadership, and delegation skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and mentor staff effectively.
