A registered nurse with at least two years of experience is needed for a contract role at a healthcare facility in Columbus, IN. This opportunity involves providing care on a medical-surgical unit with possible charge nurse responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared to work 12-hour day shifts, with schedules available as either 3 or 4 shifts per week. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical overflow unit. • Potential to assume unit charge nurse duties, with training and support provided. • Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the schedule requirements. Required Qualifications: • Current Indiana registered nurse (RN) license, compact license, or temporary license available prior to start. • Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience; new graduates are not eligible. • BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required. • Willingness to accept charge nurse duties if needed. • Availability for a schedule of 3 or 4 twelve-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30). • No local candidates will be accepted for this role.
