Deliver skilled and compassionate nursing care in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma Center located in Des Plaines, IL. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Medical-Surgical care who thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting. Schedule & Hours: • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) • Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month) • Rotation Time Off (RTO): Up to 5 days max monthly, with no more than 2 consecutive days off; No RTO allowed on holidays, weekends, or the day before/after holidays • Guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week Qualifications & Experience: • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical-Surgical nursing • Current BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred • Must hold an active RN license and be local or willing to live within 75 miles of the facility • Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred Responsibilities: • Provide expert nursing care and patient assessment for acute medical-surgical cases • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes • Comply with all hospital policies including mandatory float to other units within scope as needed • Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner system in a timely manner Location Overview: Des Plaines is a vibrant suburb offering a blend of urban amenities and comfortable living.
