Job Description
A nursing opportunity is available for experienced MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurses seeking a contract assignment. This role requires strong clinical skills in neurological and medical-surgical care.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years MedSurg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Neuro nursing expertise, including management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, and related diagnoses
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, chest tube and drain management, peripheral IV starts, NG tube placement, and PCA pump management
• Experience with medication drip management, including cardiac drips, heparin, and blood products
• Ability to work independently in reading telemetry monitors and responding appropriately
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex neurological and medical-surgical needs
• Manage patient care ratios typically between 1:4-6, with occasional surge staffing adjustments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Follow facility protocols including EPIC EMR documentation and use of specific medical equipment (Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors)
• Flexibly float to other regional facilities as needed to support patient care within the nurses scope of practice
• Participate in weekend rotations every other week and work a majority of holidays per contract requirements
