RN Med Surg | High Point, North Carolina in Archdale, NC

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract nursing opportunity based in High Point, NC offers a dynamic role caring for a diverse medical-surgical patient population. You will work primarily on a medical-surgical unit that supports patients with respiratory conditions, diabetes, surgical recovery, palliative and hospice care, and psychiatric observation. Your skills as a registered nurse will be critical in delivering high-quality care within a tele-capable environment using EPIC electronic medical records.

Responsibilities include:
• Providing comprehensive nursing care during night shifts (3x 12-hour shifts, 7pm to 7am)
• Managing patient assessment, medication administration, and care coordination
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to address patient needs
• Adhering to strict attendance and punctuality policies in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Floating between units across the health system as needed to meet patient care demands
• Successfully completing a Pass/Fail EKG exam required during onboarding
• Supporting patients with diverse diagnoses, including medical-surgical, respiratory, diabetic complications, psychiatric, and end-of-life care

Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with at least 2 years of clinical experience
• BLS certification required
• Comfort and proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred but not required
• Flexibility to float and adapt to variable clinical situations
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
