RN Med Surg | Hudson, North Carolina in Hudson, NC

A dedicated float Registered Nurse is needed to support critical care and medical-surgical units on a 13-week assignment. This opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding role managing diverse patient volumes across ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg units. Shifts are primarily 3 nights per week, 12 hours each (7:00 pm – 7:00 am), with potential weekend and holiday coverage required. Key responsibilities include: • Providing high-quality nursing care across multiple units • Adjusting rapidly to changing patient acuities and unit needs • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Maintaining proficiency in EMR documentation using EPIC • Complying with hospital protocols and safety standards Desired qualifications: • Active NC or Multistate RN license • 1-2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in travel nursing preferred • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications • Proven ability to function within a floating role, showing flexibility and adaptability • Recent, proficient experience with EPIC electronic medical records • Reliable transportation and adherence to local residency requirements • Committed to working 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contract This position operates on night shifts, Monday through Friday, with up to two weekend shifts per month. Blocked schedules and 4x12 shifts with overtime after 48 hours may be considered with prior submission.
